Prior to founding TWG, he was the President and CEO of four companies, one was a business unit inside a Fortune 100 company, and the other three were private equity-backed, middle-market businesses.  He came up through the financial ranks and held CFO/COO roles in several high-growth companies across multiple industries - healthcare, insurance, and financial services, as well as business services.  His success was in part, driven by his uncanny ability to develop and evaluate talent.

He is a certified executive coach (Columbia University).  Tom also has an MBA from the University of Baltimore's Merrick School of Business, obtained while working full-time. He self-funded and earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from The Ohio State University, and holds a non-practicing CPA license.

Tom lives in Connecticut, is married to his college sweetheart, and has three children. He grew up in a small town in northeast Ohio.
